Hi,

I am looking into getting the RAQ dedicated server from rackshack.. for $99, that's a pretty good price. I was wondering how easy is it to administer this thing. I have barely any UNIX experience. Would it be difficult to learn? The only web hosting knowledge I pretty much know at this moment is Cpanel (which really doesn't count) for administering...

anyways, gimme some information about what I need to know before getting a RAQ.

It should be no problem to admin a RAQ as well as there are many resources to share and gain helps (like this WHT forum).

Believe me, you will learn more by getting a real raq or box compare to just have a books or what ever to read.

:D

oh, i should clarify. that's $99/month from rackshack.net. I think my mind is playing tricks on me... :-P

Can RAQs take a lot of CGI and PHP/MySQL processing? I will be only hosting a couple sites but I need it to do 33,000+ processings a day.
