I need your help

go to http://gameconsole.ws-dns.com/test/ this is pointed to the default dir /usr/local/apache/htdocs/test, its working perfect

but if i change the location to /home/sites/htdocs/test or /htdocs/test i am getting a forbidden page but i can access the files and cant see the empty list because the forbidden page

i tryd to change documentroot in httpd.conf but its giving my the forbidden page

i want the empty list

how can i solve this, thank you

First, your paths must be absolute. I doubt your filesystem has an absolute path of /htdocs/test unless you did it by hand (for some reason). Wherever the files are that you want to serve, get to that directory and type "pwd". Then put that path into your httpd.conf. Then make sure each directory in that path has the x's in the permissions set. All 3 x's.

You might also want to add index.php to your DirectoryIndex directive in httpd.conf. That'll make it so that apache will automatically load all index.php files instead of giving you a directory listing with index.php inside of it.
