View Full Version : Manual Domain Registration

Hi all!

I recently started reselling domains, and I guess I still have lots to learn. A question that frequently comes up to my mind is how to grab a domain manually. I know I wouldn't be able to compete with SnapNames or Namewinner or any of the powerplayers in the biz, but still I'd like to try.
Now, when I'm trying to register a domain on its drop date between 1 and 2:30, all whois databases still show it as unavailable. I guess they are running a few hours late, and when they're finally updated, it's already too late.

Is there any database on the Web that immediately reflects a deletion/drop so that I can log on at 1 and try my best? Once again: I know it's useless trying to register premium domains that way, but at least it gives me that feeling of actively doing something instead of waiting for an e-mail from Namewinner...

Thanks in advance for your help! :)

you can't do it....give up. the SnapNames/NameWinner systems are hitting the registery every MILLISECOND and their software is literally running on the various registrar's servers.

Surely you have better things to do :-)

waiting for an email from namewinner is way faster and better

you can also use pool.com snapnames.com godaddy backorder services also

You wont do it, waste of time.

There are ways of telling exactly when a com/net will drop. But those who know arent going to freely reveal it ;)

At least I wont :)
