View Full Version : Looking for New Hosting Provider

I'm thinking of switching my hosting provider (again) due to some issues with my current provider. I had Pegasus Web Technologies first (for about 2 years), then I purchased a second domain and they couldn't work with me to get both domains pointed under my one account (I think they wanted me to pay another $40/mo or something just to be able to point a second domain under my account) :mad:

So, I switched to GlobalHosting. They worked with me and got a second domain up and running and pointed under a directory of my account (but I can't publish any emails for that domain.. only the main one for the account).

Also, I've been having some routing issues with GH that I've been concerned with (I found an address that I suddenly couldnt send email to - turns out after looking at a traceroute there was a routing issue from the machine my account is hosted on). So - if this one person cant get to my site and cant send/receive email to/from me - how many other people can't do the same?

Here is what I'm looking for in a hosting provider (Ive still got a couple months since Im paying by quarter w/ GH)... but again, don't let this be a negative sign on GH - they did tell me the routing problem was out of their control...

* JSP
* MySQL
* ability to use virtual hosting or something so I can point a second domain in a directory under my account - so there are two unique and different web sites
* SSH
* 200+ MB disk space (optional)
* 10+ GB transfer (optional)

Thanks,

- Brent :smokin:

We can offer you all of the above, but what exactly does the 'optional' part mean? We offer JSP with Tomcat 3.2. We also allow for true multiple domains under one account. Each domain is seperate from the other, but both under the same webspace.

Email me if you would like additional information or a quote, or reply here to what you mean by the optionals and I'll give you a quote on here. We are currently running a 15% special off all quotes for the month of July. The 15% off applies for the life of the account.

I should have said "negotiable" rather than optional. Basically, I meant 200MB wasn't a deal breaker or anything - but I'd like to get some space close to that.

Just send me an email and we'll talk - thanks!

Did you happen to email me instead of someone else? I either got a misdirected email or a spam from ksstudio. I hope it wasn't the latter. :)
