I've set up my Website with a host that uses Cpanel. I have twenty POP3 accounts and want to allow five people who support my site to each have an e-mail account with it. However, I don't want them to have access to Cpanel, which means I'll have to set their passwords myself.

But I would like for them to be able to change their passwords themselves to be able to ensure them of privacy...though without them having access to Cpanel.

Is there a way they would be able to do this? I don't think so but wanted to check here to be sure. TIA

I don't believe there is a way to do this other than by creating a custom script. :(

I'll tried installing several email clients to bypass neomail in Cpanel, but none seems to work ... I'm still searching for the right one.

Just use the absolute URL to access neo mail. When you go into CPanel, instead of clicking on "Read Webmail" or whatever, right click and hit open in a new window. You will then see the URL in the address window. Simply change the variables to access different accounts. It does not bring you to a log on screen, however, users are prompted for a username and password via a dialog box.

This method does not compromise the security of CPanel.

EXAMPLE:

Below is the syntax I use to access web mail without going through CPanel:

http:// USERNAME:@DOMAIN.com:PORT#/USERNAME+DOMAIN.com/neomail.pl

Make sense?

http://www.domain.com/webmail/ is a better solution to having your users check their email isn't it? By the way, the trailing / at the end is important!

But that method only allows you to check the default account.

Login with:

username@whateverdomain.com and your password and it should let anyone check their webmail.

If you have someone else named bob, have them login with bob@whateverdomain.com and their password and bob should be able to check his mail.

The whole idea is to not have the user type in the entire domain address. The domain name of my client consist of 26 letters ...
It's pretty easy to type in the wrong address ... :)

I've tried many means but it just can't be done ... :(

Any recommendations welcome!

Webmail was designed to convience people who check mail from various places, if entering the whole domain name (his own in fact) is too hard for your clients, then tell him to wait till he gets at his home machine for outlook, or the client of his choice.

Many thanks for the tip with the webmail.

It is very useful and the guys from CPanel have a lot to do.
