Hi,

I have a webserver using Red Hat Linux. I used to mount the filesystem to the another database server which is different machine from this webserver.

When I shutdown the webserver and I reboot it, the webserver's filesystem appears a serious problem. It can't boot up and just ask me to enter a password to repair the system.

Can anybody tell what is going on?? Thank you.

ok....the error message is too fast it's go.

I just know : /proc partition some kind like gone!!!
When I cd into /usr,/var......all is nothing.....

I have had this problem before... try umount /var or /usr... then try to mount it again. It should appear. If not boot into single usermode init 1 or linux single then umount.

when you umount make sure you are not in that directory you are trying to umount.
