When I create an addon domain and ftp accounts it doesn't let me use the username that i assigned to it on FTP. I must include the "@mothersite.com". For example

Addon: mydomainA.com
Username: mydomainA

but on FTP I can't that username but must use the username "mydomainA@mothersite.com"


New FTP Account: tech
Username: tech

but on FTP I can't that username but must use the username "tech@mothersite.com"

Now here's a thing. I've had hosts before and never had this issue. Is there something wrong with what I'm doing or is this more of my current host's config?

That's how cpanel works.
