 | View Full Version : squirrelmail LoCache 06-27-2003, 07:06 PM I am trying to decide to host my website with a webhost that uses cpanel or one that uses ensim. I like squirrelmail alot and I think it is only offered pre-installed with ensim. Am I wrong? Is ensim really that bad for light volume reselling? hostpc.com 06-27-2003, 07:27 PM Ensim, if managed correctly is an EXCELLENT, SECURE software system that can effectively manage your clients. Most Ensim hosts have Ensim secured very well, as there's a wide support base. My opinion, based on security, would be Ensim... One suggestion tho.... v1.2.5 of Squirrelmail that ships with most Ensim packages, is very limiting - search for a host with an upgraded squirrelmail package, preferably installed serverwide so it doesn't come out of the clients quotas. If they don't have it, ask if you can install it yourself (may require SSH access) ... 1.4.0 is designed very well! Cpanel is just as secure as ensim... security depends on the server admin, not the control panel.
