I'm just wondering if the Cobalt control panel can be replaced with a better look, easier, more user friendly control panel? Does anyone know how this would be done? Does anyone know of any good control panels that you can use for an affordable price? This is my first server so I'm new to this.

If this is what you want then I'd dump the RaQ and get another server with whatever panel you want on it. Not only is it the basic way you admin the box, but it is also the OS, and due to this, loadig on another control panel doesn't make much sense.
I've compared this to buying a MAC and then wiping it and installing Windows on it.
Look through the dedicated and the software forums for some info on alternatives...

Agreed. You have to keep in mind that while the Cobalt OS is a modified version of Red Hat, it is just that...modified. It is all pretty tightly interwoven.

You can't install Windows on a Mac, as Windows does not support the RISC/PowerPC architecture of the hardware. However, you can get a Mac and emulate Windows on top of the Mac OS, in which case all instructions will have to be translated to a completely different OS, resulting in a performance hit -- basically means it's useless for 3D shooters.
Unix is for stability, Mac is for productivity, and Windows is for gaming (though the Mac is catching up in this respect, with new cards like the GeForce 3 being out first for the Mac. Also, with Mac OS X, you also get the stability of Unix). Total cost of ownership on the Mac is lower than a Windows PC, so unless you're big into games, I don't see any reasons to get a Windows PC.

Errrr... well, you may have missed the point, though I thankx you for the technical explanation. I'll remember not to use that analogy again :D
Perhaps a better one would have been to just say that it doesn't make sense to buy a Mac because you want to run Windows software on it via an emulator (and don't want to run any Mac software at all). Is that better?
