What other solutions are there besides credit card payment?
Sometimes I dunno if I should trust my biller (instabill) or not. They've already done a lot of damage to a few of my clients and this is really getting a bit sticky.

We accept checks online. The way that we have it setup, they simply run the check through and then we automatically take the amount via a draft each month. It works well for us, especially for local clients, but we've got a few outside our area that work just as well.
If you don't trust your processor, then you should definitely find another one. Having another company processing your payments is built on that basic foundation of trust. If there isn't complete confidence in them, then basically you're just waiting for the day where they justify why they aren't to be trusted.

No using credit card payments is likely going to cause issues down the road with fraudulent payments and a billing nightmare; especially with a growing client base. Try contacting some of your local banks to get a new processing provider. It's likely that a regional institution can deliver you a lower discount rate, and help you with policies that can determine the quality of orders (and their credit risk) for new accounts.

Qchex.com - rocks! We use it for lots of clients (local and distant) - very easy for the client (they get a paper check back) - fast (as fast as we get it deposited) and secure for both parties.
just my 2cents.
