If I buy hosting, and have the free hosting from my school, and I do all the html on that server but link to the .movs on the schools server, so it plays on the on the html page on my paid host, do they both read the bandwidth of that file or just the school.
Thank you

ps. sorry for all the stupid questions, but webmastering isnt really my bag baby
You will use up the majority of your school's bandwidth because of the .mov files located on your school's server. Your paid hosting account will accumulate the bandwidth of serving the html files (which shouldn't be too big). So basically you will use bandwidth of both servers, the school being the most.

Wherever the files are located is where the the bandwidth will be used. The movie will use no bandwidth on the server your html is on. Hope this helps clear it up.

I hope two things:
1) your school has a decent connection
2) they don't mind you sucking up their bandwidth
Call it TOS, AUP, general we don't want to host you anymore statement...

well I called them today and they said that a 103 mg file will not be a problem with there bandwidth, sence its an educational thing, I dont think they care about monthly bandwidth, I think all they care about is current speed, as long as I dont slow others down. but if it starts to they will not delete my account, just the file, then i'll give it a day or 2 and reupload it lol. The account comes with enrollment.
Thanks for the advise.
Thank you
