I'm going on month #3 with my reseller account at PixieHost and wanted to publically acknowledge what a great host I find them to be.
First, I find their prices to be very reasonable, some of the cheapest I've seen and you get a great value for your money. I pay 24.95/mo for 3 gb of space and 30gb of bandwidth. Example features of all resller accounts include unlimited pop e-mail accounts, unlimited subdomains, unlimited mailing lists, unlimited add-on domains, unlimited mysql databases, etc. Perhaps most appealing to power users like myself is SSH access, which I find to be extremely useful when installing custom scripts.
It varies, but for the most part, support is responsive and helpful. Sometimes responses come as quick as five minutes, sometimes they take as much as an hour but *rarely* longer. Whenever I have a problem, I can be sure they're working on it and will fix it. I just wish that they would give me a more detailed response than, "It's fixed, please contact us if you have any more problems." Being a newbie to the whole hosting biz, I'm trying to learn as much as possible from my mistakes and these short responses aren't very helpful in that area, but my problems do get fixed fairly quickly. Overall, I'm very pleased with their support.
Lately it seems they've been having slight downtime issues. Most of it appears to be scheduled, however there has been the occasional unscheduled downtime due to problems at NAC. Whatever the case, Roy (the owner) is very communicative via e-mail and keeps you updated and informed as things progress.
What else can I say? I'm very pleased with the service I have received from PixieHost and highly recommend them to anybody considering a reseller hosting account.
