Two weeks ago I requested transfer of two of my domains from itsyourdomain to GoDaddy .
One transfer was finished in two days.
I just received notice today thatThe transfer request for *******.*** has been denied by the losing registrar.
Anyone know; what's up with a statement like that?

Usually if you're in the renewal period for a domain the registrar won't let it go.

The transfer process will not finish unless all the information you submitted matches the whois for the domain EXACTLY. Perhaps you made a typo.
