Hostrocket.com, I've heard nothing but good things about them... though they are $9.95 a month...

I have a small site, nothing special and I am contemplating between valuablehost and hostrocket, is hostrocket's $90+ more a year worth the piece of mind?

HELP! :)

$12.95 for monthly payment.

Right, but i guess it ends up being 9.95 if you pay yearly
my mistake...

After some "growing pains" Hostrocket has really gotten stronger and I'm very pleased with their service...

I would recommend them.

I know a couple of friends who are with ValuableHost...They're extremely happy...Then again, their sites aren't e-commerce or something they make money off.

I guess, it all depends what your site is for? And what you need?

unless your site uses a lot of bandwidth, i'd stick with valueablehost

Forget both...

Hosting Matters (hostmatters.com) has the best services, reasonable prices and UNBEATEN, SUPERIOR technical support.

(I'm not paid by HostMatters to say this)

I am saying this because I've been with some baaaahhhd hosts, and even while Hosting Matters used Alabanza, it was the most SUPERIOR service ever. Now HostMatters is Network Access Corp. based using CPanel on Linux.

I haven't been with either valuablehost or hostrocket, but I can only agree that Hostmatters.com is da bomb :)
Annette and Stephanie simply provide the best support ever :)
I am currently hosting a big site with them, around 20 gigs per month transfer, and I am VERY happy.

I can personally vouch for Valuablehost! I've contacted support on behalf of friends, I've received responses in 5 mins once, and 45 mins another time..

Yes, Hostrocket. At the time I was there, I had mail problems, but as I have stated before and will say once again, my understanding is that those problems were fixed.

You must always consider that every host will have its kinks, bumps and dips. You just have to find the one with the least and be ready for big bumps. (Although when your email turns in to the US Postal Service, it's time to move on)

***ADDENDUM

I am not saying in any way that Hostrocket is bad, (or good), as I have no current experience, but have heard mixed reviews of the company. At the time I left Iwas having difficulties and felt it was in the best interest of myself, and my clients, that I relocate to another service prover.
