I am looking for a Simple Newsletter script to hold about 500-3000 client emails. An being able to manually add them, without confirmations.

Best way to do anything, is to make it yourself!
That way you have all the features you want, you know the system inside and out, and can make changes without any pain.

I installed it, but havn't gotten to deep into it yet, but it looks promissing

I did however have a couple minor problems that seem to be cause by me running PHP 4.3.2 on our servers. Wasn't hard to fix though.

I've used GroupMail for years. Very powerful, very easy to use. You can personalize the mailing, you can send in plain text/HTML, loads of features. They have a free version and a paid one with more features.

Sometimes it is better to use existing available codes, or modify existing codes to suit your needs.
Don't reinvent the wheel! :D
