I used to work for a company that contracted us out as travelling technicians. They furnished pagers by SkyPAGE. They were nice, but I don't know what they cost. I think I looked, and they were expensive, but I didn't care, they paid for it.

They worked nearly everywhere I remember going... All over Tennessee, Alabama, Mississippi, Florida, Louisiana.

Silly thing is, they didn't have a tower in their home city... one of our techs called their support number to say he wasn't getting pages, "what? but i can see your building"

Now that IS truly amazing. LOL

SkyPage used to be very expensive. Last time I checked, there were three major nationwide providers that offer a service to deliver the page when you return to coverage (thus never losing coverage).

SkyPage was one, Arch is another, and BellSouth was the third. All three are very expensive for this service.

I now use my SprintPCS phone as it does the same thing. :-)

We have used WebLink Wireless for 2-way paging service... and we haven't been too impressed. It takes a long time to send messages. A lot of cellular phone providers are now offering 2-way messaging, you might want to take a look at that first... it's definately cheaper.

I use 2-way email paging with Arch. I use a T900 and it does a good job. Pair it up with http://www.trancell.com and it is a great toy too :)

PS I got my pager/service from Best Buy. At that time they were offering unlimited nights and weekends for 19.95. It has not been on the website.

For 2-Ways services, can it be used as a pager beside emailing?

Like you dial the pager # and the pager beeps like a pager.

Hello,

I am looking at beepers.com right now.

This is the pager I am looking at
http://www.beepers.com/index.cfm?mode=home&content=pagers_main&show=pf1500&type=assured

I am planning to get their 500 messages a month plan.
That is $203 annually.

I like their "email to pager" and numeric paging features.

Anyone not recommend me getting this?

If you know of a service that can beat this price, please let me know.
