I want to install webalizer 2.01 on my raq 3, but I've heard that it will mess up your PHP installation. Is this true? Is there anything I can do to prevent it from messing up php? I have php 4.0.4pl1 installed.
Also, will webalizer 2.01 work on a raq 3?

Thanks!

Slightly OT here, but I'm using v1.30 on my Raq. I've seen 2.01, but can't really see the difference. What is the advantage of upgrading?

Most (if not all) of the Webalizer2 PKG files that have been floating around the net has this problem - it corrupts the PHP installation.

Our PKG files does not have that problem.

The solution is to compile Webalizer statically. That secures that you do not replace libgd, and thus break PHP.

So Eagle... did you get the Webalizer 2.01 .pkg from http://cobalt-aid.sourceforge.net/files/ ? Did it screw up PHP on your RaQ 4?
