I learned that adult sites usually get a lot of hits and if you are gonna start a adult site you should get at least more then 10gb transfer.

Well I'm starting a internet buisness selling adult videos. [XTSmod edit]ad removed[/XTSmod edit]...so i mean if my site gets out it could be real popular.

This is my first time in the ""adult buissness"" and i really have no clue on it. As of how many transfer I should need a month, and what host would be good for me. I read a post here saying if your site gets linked on a adult website thats popular, you could get 300,000 hits that day!

tanger it is possible to get 50K+ hits a day to an adult website quite easily, and on average I see my customers using about 1gig of transfer for every 10K of hits to their webpages.

But i'm not going to have a big nude picture gallery or streaming videos. Just a website where it has a shopping cart to let ppl buy adult videos. I'm only going to be selling 20-40 products. Meaning do I still need as much gb transfer a month as the normal ones who offer picture gallery and streaming video or movie donwloads.

If you aren't going to be letting your visitors DOWNLOAD the videos, or view large galleries of pictures, then bandwidth shouldn't be a problem. Your site will be functioning basically as an E-Commerce site (which is mostly low-bandwidth text), and not as an adult destination (which is usually high-bandwidth media).

You should have no problem using a shared server - but do make sure the bandwidth prices aren't outrageous.
