I'm looking into getting a host to mess around with message boards, scripts, html....kind of like a website just for testing new things. I'm looking to pay about $20 or less (i don't want to pay more if i'm just gonna play around with it).

Today I was looking at F5 hosting. I hear they have great support and I was looking into the "gold" plan because during this month they have it marked down to $15.95.

Does anyone use F5 hosting? What do you think about it?

In the future I might turn it into a full time website...so I want a pretty good amount of bandwidth and space

The gold plan looked reasonable and has 15gb of data transfer and 350mb of disk space...

I'd just like to hear any thoughts of f5 hosting...

THANK YOU IN ADVANCE

Hi,

If you are going to do on what you have stated... testing... why looking for paid hosting? Some free hosts might be able to give you that such as freedom2surf etc. but not sure about their bandwidth and space though... :D

Just my 2 cents though

simply because most free hosts i've run into don't offer perl, cgi, php, and all that. Also most of them don't have enough space to run a message board and do all the things I want to be able to do.

Also, I want to be able to make a website in a few months using the same hosting...and I want to use my own domain name

yes f2s is good

only problem that scripts needing mail/send mail function may not always work
same is true of spaceports

you may also try if you need what is a paying account -

valuablehost - com
or worldzone - net

within $30 - $40 for a year - a whole good year of testing and excitement

also you can try on your pc many scripts if you have windows - you can use xitami webserver - very good to test many scripts

Hi David,

You got the point if you want to host your domain name... :D

Hope you find a good deal.
