cybotix 06-22-2003, 04:53 AM great low end plans :)
what bandwidth providers are these using? all of those listed on ur website, or just one or two of them?
and ur website says 512mb ram for the $49/month server but ur post says 256mb...
On your website it says that the server comes with 512MB of RAM, is there a typo?
BiGWill 06-22-2003, 07:46 AM that's exactly the question....
what network are these on?
MIANET1,2,3 or 4?
dimva 06-22-2003, 09:11 AM MIANET4, right? The only question I have is, especially if it's MIANET1, will I have to rebuy a server, or will you upgrade my pervious BLDS to 400gigs?
s.h.a.zz.y 06-22-2003, 10:00 AM dimva, Sorry for going off-topic but...
If you get a car on hire-purchase and two months later they add SAT-NAV to it, you dont go back and ask them to upgrade you ..
i spoke with serveroutsource about this a little while back, and they said these deals would be on the cogent network
active 06-22-2003, 12:55 PM how long do these take to set up?
PebSpace 06-22-2003, 01:23 PM Do you offer cPanel if so how much is it per a month, i am very intrested.
SideFX 06-22-2003, 01:25 PM yes what about cpanel/whm im interesyed just very frightened over being on cogent lol bad experiences

JonL,
Yes, that is a typo on the site on the BLDS-AMD-1-HB specs.
It has been corrected to show 256MB RAM.
Thanks for letting me know.

These high bandwidth servers are on MIANET4.
Which is PRI CogentCo.

When ordered M-F it takes 24-48 hours normally, unless a part is out of stock, and gets back ordered for some reason.

PebSpace,
cPanel/WHM is currently $50/Month

SideFX,
I can understand that.
This circuit was just installed, as a client requested Cogent. :\
When we where doing our traces, PSINET showed alot.
Looks like they might have finally integrated PSInet into Cogent's network.
PebSpace 06-22-2003, 04:57 PM This sounds a very good deal, any chance you can accept verified paypal payments for extra % added on? just for me? :D
SrvOutsource 06-22-2003, 05:24 PM PebSpace,
We stopped taking PayPal due to the very high amount of non-payments.
Currently we only accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and AmEx.
David
PebSpace 06-22-2003, 06:08 PM That’s a damn shame :(, mine would only of been the cheapest $49/month and there would be no danager of me making non-payments as i would pay 2 months in advance, maybe reconsider? :).
AnT0012 06-22-2003, 07:49 PM Same for me, I can only pay using paypal. I am verified and have a few positive transactions. Pleeeeease reconsider. I need the $49 server. Contact me at bryant@ladderol.com please.
Thanks.
SrvOutsource 06-22-2003, 08:37 PM The non-payment risk is too high with PayPal.
Which is why you do not see any dedicated server providers accept PayPal.
If you do they are usually resellers, or do not have regular merchant accounts.
Cavalier 06-22-2003, 10:14 PM IP address to test?

Darktwist 06-23-2003, 07:29 AM If Serveroutsource does accept Paypal method and it will expand Serveroutsource business ;)
Chazhound 06-23-2003, 09:44 AM Nice prices!
My ServerOutSource server has been running 80 days without any downtime at all.
Keep up the great job!
Chazhound
PebSpace 06-23-2003, 05:42 PM So is there any chance of paypal payments or is that out of the question? (just trying one last time :)), I can assure you I will never forget to pay I will even pay two months in advance if that makes you feel more confident.
AnT0012 06-23-2003, 05:50 PM Me too! Please, please reconsider.
SrvOutsource 06-23-2003, 06:01 PM When we did accept PayPal, we did require 1 month extra, for security.
What servers are (PebSpace & AnT0012) looking at?
David
AnT0012 06-23-2003, 08:30 PM I am looking at the $49/month server and I would be happy to pay 2 months at a time.
PebSpace 06-24-2003, 03:02 AM Same as AnT0012, $49/month server, maybe cPanel if i can find a cheaper place to get it from ;), i would be happying paying the paypal transaction fees. If you feel more confitable getting $49/month instead of like $45 odd when paypal takes so much % away.
SrvOutsource 06-24-2003, 07:17 AM That's the other bad thing about PayPal is there fee. :(
It's almost double of that of our regular merchant account.
Darktwist 06-24-2003, 07:23 AM Is there any contract on that server?
Is there any saving (discount) price if I pay 6 months or yearly?
*please reconsider accepting paypal payment*
SrvOutsource 06-24-2003, 07:30 AM It is Month-Month.
Sorry, there is no discount for pre-payment.
We are thinking about PayPal again.
PebSpace 06-24-2003, 11:57 AM Let me know the outcome via email/msn at john@pebspace.com or catch me on AOL: PebSpace, mostly on UK GMT times :)

They will be a standard offering, but the repsonse to this post has caused some to be back ordered. :(
Omnisage 07-20-2003, 02:13 AM Are the $49 servers still available, i see the link has been grayed out on your site
SrvOutsource 07-20-2003, 05:07 PM There should be more in towards the end of July.
Omnisage 07-20-2003, 06:19 PM do you have anything comparable in the meantime, i know thats asking for a lot so I'll apologize in advance
SrvOutsource 07-20-2003, 08:14 PM Not currently. Sorry.
That is the only $49/Month server we offer.
Would you supply me with a test IP of your MIANET4 network. I want to run some traceroutes from my current locations.
