Well I've e-mailed a few servers that claim they are unlimited. I will post every one of their e-mails and you read what they said and tell me what you think which one would be best to try out two of my domains on. I'm keeping three others on a secure server who isn't unlimited :D. Please note this was when I was upset at dellz but now I realize they are actually a pretty good hosting company. Dellz is ok by me :).

E-mail talk:

> Hello I am interested in your hosting policy. I am currently using
dellz.com but they changed their deals on me. Now I want an account that has
unlimited space and bandwidth like dellz did. Are you guys resellers or do
you OWN your own servers and not resell through donhost or other places?

We can provide unlimited space & bandwidth for you but for your html pages,
images & scripts. Not for gamesites or email account offering or any other
such
stuff that can effect the speed of our servers (like 10MB softwares for
download etc.). If you really need unlimited space & bandwidth just for your
site then you have come to right place. We will do whatever we can to
support you & your business.
If you have any special requirements then let us know, we will see if we can
provide you with the services you need.

Sincerely From,

> am very interested in your service.
We are not normal resellers. We have rented the servers with high speed
connections from US-Based companies & put our own softwares on them to lower
the prices of the services.

We received too many inquiry emails so we are replying this email little bit
late but we reply all the emails we recieve.
Sorry for replying little bit late.

Hi,

You can host as many accounts under your single Hosting Controller administration account, however the price of EUR7.50 is per domain you require hosted.

We can give you a bulk discount on domains any amount over 5 will cost you just EUR6.00 / month.

Let me know if this is to your satisfaction,

At present we do not have a reseller plan, (this is about 2 months away, until we open our new data centre)
However do have an affiliate program if you are interested : http://allbizhost.com/affiliates.asp

Hello, sorry not top get back to you earlier as we have been inundated with questions. To keep our service prices low we have really branched out over the world. We have servers in the USA and UK and our Accounting Department is in Australia because of the strong US dollar versus ozzie dollar, plus it's nice here.

Most of our staff are volunteers as most of our return goes to charity. Your website will only become a problem if it is disadvantaging other clients that are hosted on the same server you are hosted. Check our terms and conditions concerning high bandwidth.

Hope this answers your questions.
Cheers
Kate

well these are my "testing candidates" which one do you think is the best out of three. I know unlimited = bad I'm just doing one last test trial :D.

Good luck!!

Okay then. . . .Here's my thoughts. . . . .But, only based on the email you supplied. . . .If you would have only supplied links, I would have needed to go to their website myself in order to comment;)

pk9 would have my vote based on the directness of their answers.

The other two were too ambiguous.

I'd rather see you go with a proven reputable host; but If you wish to experiment:eek:

Okay:rolleyes: I'll go there later. But only to pk9.
I got enough from the email to suggest you stay away from them :D

I am not sure and just curios... is it legal and fare enough to post the emails publicly like you have done

Maybe, maybe not, but I doubt any company would actually try to get these removed. They would be burnt to a crisp after being flamed over and over again. :D

P.S. For all of you people out there who are contemplating signing up with a host who claims to offer "unlimited" bandwidth or HD space, I've written a perl script for you!

while(1) { print "Unlimited == Bad\n"; }

I hope that sums it up.

I just want to give you a good advice that many people don't follow: If you go with an unlimited host ...you'll be back in a month looking for a new host.

Yes I know that. I'm just testing ONE of my many domains with these "unlimited hosts". Iz just an experiment.

I find it pretty distressing that I couldn't get a page of TOS at pk9.
pk9 sorta rings like 9kd:rolleyes: hmm. . . .I wonder:rolleyes:
Oh probably no relation.
Although destined to join them.

Well, so much for that...

Perhaps, you meant livewebhost.com, ah yes, I think you did.

Interesting, their IP address is owned directly by UUNet. I guess that's a plus...

allbizhosts.com have their servers with legend.co.uk, legend has this dedicated account:

HS-0G0-M Co-located Server - 10Mbps. Full wire-speed, no usage charge. Installation £199.00 Monthly £599.00

I have not heard anything back yet, good/bad, about them. So, if they are on the up and up, allbizhosts actually has a valid claim at unlimited bandwidth.

otakuman

1. It is legal because if you asked the same question they would answer it with the same kindness all of these hosts have. This is like a profile/newsletter of hosts I think that may be worth to their word.
2. I am questioning about which host I would be safest with to use one of my many domains with.

so you think allbiz is telling the truth?

yes you are right I did mean http://www.livewebhost.com

I have no opinion personally on any of these hosts, just wanted to give you any technical information you may not have already.

Note: The info I gave is based on their own domain name, so if they host sites in another place than where they host their own, my previous posts are moot.

Also, interesting...
Live Web Host is undergoing some changes at this time so our customer service department will be closed from July 23rd to Sep. 1st.
