i dont have much time ..my new client's domain name is expiring in 3 days. his domain is registered with network solutions now as network solution charges more than others i planned to move it to stargateinc where all my domains are and they are pretty nice people. Now will network solutions do the change immediately or how much time they will take to do this any one experienced with network solution on a case like this ?

Network Solutions will not change a domain if it is expireing in 3 days time. Tell me if I am wrong.

Usually you have to do it at least a month before payment is due.

Yes, as someone else already pointed out, Network Solutions will not allow you to transfer the registration of any domain with 3 days left.

Network Solutions has now started placing a lock on all domain names 30 days prior to their expiration.

So, if you are thinking about transferring a domain name from Network Solutions to another registrant, try doing so within 45 days...that should give you enough time.
