This is not really an advertisement or offer, it is more of a press release. Anyone who wants to hire a network admin/Linux admin feel free to drop me an e-mail :D:

Dear Version12 Hosting Customer,

During the past year Version12 has experienced phenomenal growth. Thanks
primarily to the support of our clients Version12 has more than doubled in
size every 3 months to the point where we are bulging at the seams. All
of our shared servers are currently at capacity, and we have expanded our
connectivity twice in the last six months and added a second data center.

Unfortunately, this also means that providing support has become more
difficult for our small operation. We are dealing with an overwhelming
number of support issues, and this has often delayed our response time
past the 24 hour mark.

In order to continue to provide you with the level of support you have,
hopefully, come to expect Roseanne and I have decided to sell Version12.

This was not an easy decision, but we wanted to do what we felt was best
for our customers. We have seen too many hosts get weighed down by their
success and begin to offer an inferior product. We did not want that to
happen with Version12.

Beginning Wednesday, July 18th Version12 Hosting will become a part of
5 Star Communications. 5 Star Communications is a much larger company,
with a staff that will be better equipped to handle your support, billing
and sales questions.

Your service will not change, the only thing that will change is that you
will have a new set of contacts.

Your new contacts, starting July 18th, will be:

Support Email: help@5sc.net
Support Phone: 404.287.3319

Sales Email: sales@5sc.net
Sales Phone: 404.287.3328

Billing Email: billing@5sc.net
Billing Phone: 404.287.3322

The phone numbers listed above will be changing in the next week, as 5SC is
moving to a larger office.

Roseanne and I will be available for the next 14 days or so to help 5SC, and
to assist you with any questions you have about any special modifications we
have made to the servers for you. Our availability will be limited, but we
are always happy to help.

We look forward to helping to make this transition as smooth as possible so
that you can continue to experience the same level of support and performance
that you are accustomed to.

Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions about the transition.
Someone from 5SC will be contacting everyone within a couple of days to answer
any additional questions.

Thank you again for all of your support.

Probably...it was not part of the terms of the sale -- and I don't think anyone wants to peer with my DSL line :D.

Hey Allan,

A few questions, if you don't mind..

1. So how much do you want per month?
2. Where are you located right now?
3. You wouldn't be interested in helping (being partner) another hosting company start up?

You should keep it :)

Well, I have an offer from a large ISP in the area for around $70k a year.

2. Where are you located right now?

Northern Virginia

umm...I thought that is what I had been doing on this board for 7 months :). Seriously, anyone that needs any help is always welcome to contact me...I am always more than willing to work with people. If you are looking for something more formal, in terms of SMALL partnerships, please let me know (I just got off a 2 year run of being available 24x7 and completely glued to a computer screen -- I don't want to jump back in :)).

Wow! I almost missed this thread Allan!

May I wish the best of luck to both yourself and your lovely wife in your new ventures :). If you fancy relocating to the UK, right next to the beach, let me know and I'll buy you a tent ;).

Seriously though, I doubt we'll get the same high level of service or friendliness now the sale has gone through. You've been a truly wonderful and understanding guy to deal with Allan, and Roseanne too(don't want her feeling left out now do I :)).

And where do I turn now? I have a customer wishing to host a 50gb/mo site with me :). I was going to buy *another* server off you guys already, but I guess I'll have to take a look at HackShack this time ;).

Wishing you the best of luck and continued success with whichever way you decide to go now. We are truly sorry to see you guys go :(.

Warmest regards,

Rich & Abi
