Please help me. I can't login anymore on the ProFTPd server as the server administrator.
I don't know what I've done... pretty stupid right :-(
I've got a Raq4 with the cp of Cobalt and Webmin running.

check if /etc/ftpusers contains "admin" if it does, remove it

also might want to check the logs
grep "proftpd" /var/log/messages
will pring you _all_ important lines
with hopefully some info

The file ftpusers doesn't contain admin

And when I try the grep command I get the message /web/ doesn't exist. Where do I change the default directory, because that seems to be the problem

i dont have access to no raq atm, but the files your looking for are
/etc/proftpd.conf and /etc/proftpd.master or .conf.master

but if you didnt play with the /home parition it should be running ok, unless you changed the config files

I've changed the standard login directory from /web to / and now finally it works.
