Hi all...

I getting quoted $250 per /24 (class c) from colo/dedicated providers. How much are you paying for your IP's from your colo/dedicated provider? If you are getting multiple /24 networks are you being charged?

That's expensive for a Class C (at least IMHO). I'm going to be careful as to how I word it (*wink* @ Chicken), but you should be able to get a Class C for around $50 a month.

Wow, I feel bad for you folks. I don't pay anything. Get as many as I need.

I figured out (from information at arin.net) that a modest size "multi-homed" Upstream Provider that pays $10,000 per year for /16 (256 class c's). Now thats $39 per year per class C.

$250 mo x 12 mo. = $3000 per year per class C.

Thats 77 times the cost.. Wow.. Don't think something is right here.
