Just buliding a game server

Abit BG7-E mainboard for S478/533mhz DDR
- I845GE, ATA/100, ATX, VGA, LAN, USB2.0

DDR-DIMM PC2700 512MB DDR CL2.5
- Generic memory 184-P (for DDR-PC333MHz)

Maxtor IDE ATA-133 120GB 7200RPM
- DiamondMax Plus 9 8 MB cache


would do i need to install the games when its built do i need any software or any thing the game im installing is medal of honor
would is spec be ok

The Mem is good for one server but if you want multiple i say increase to 1024mb

You need alot more ram if you want to have more then 1 game server on that server. I would suggest 2gb. The higher the amount of ram, the smoother the game servers will run. :)

1gb makes the most sense with that spec box... If you were going dual xeon etc and wanted to host 300 people on 1 box then yeah, 2gb sure, but it may be overkill.

If you are going to colocate it, you can always put 1gb in now and upgrade at a later date as you expand.
