Hi,

I haven't had any problems lately. The board is usually under heavy loads apart from in the early hours of dawn.

I like vBulletin, works alright and does the job. I wouldn't like to be the one to convert it all! :P

Just a quick note, it says in your sig that you have invested $20.000 into EENET E2. I think you should change that period into a comma because that reads that you have invested twenty dollars. :)

I haven't had any problems lately. In fact, in just the last few days the "View New Posts" feature has started working properly for me within the last week and a half, or thereabouts.

Search is good now too, it's quicker and easier to use (I couldn't remember half the operator words).

Editing your post still takes ages to load though.

Not too bad for me, a bit more laggy than I'd like, but hey can't complain with close to 1000 people online all the time :)

Editing posts is slower because mySQL is great at quick and dirty SELECTS, etc, but has a bit of a harder time searching for a specific post to edit.

vBulletin isn't the problem BTW, it's mySQL, an oracle backend would be better ($$$) :D

It could be a broken thread - which occassionally happens - in which case you should report it so we can fix it...

As for corrupt cookies - check your IE security settings, and delete your WHT cookies manually.

Slow loads? It's gotten better since Webdev's maintence work...

Yup, the server loads are certainly down since WebDev did his magic :D
Server Load Averages 0.16, 0.28, 0.27 495 users online (340 members & 155 guests).

I'm also having problems replying to threads and reporting posts to moderators. Specifically, I can't reply to this thread: http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=156207 - just times out.

I am on WHT at least 14 hours a day, with at least 9-10hours of ACTIVE browsing. Never experienced any problem with the boards. The only time i did experience tons of sluggishness was because of a local routing issue.

We won't be getting rid of vBulletin. If you come across a "broken" thread (times out when you try to reply), send a trouble report and it will be fixed.
