does anyone here know a registrar that accepts checks/money orders?

people can accept MO/Checks for domains , but only if you are OK with having the domain registered after the check gets cleared / MO recieved . Where are you located ?

Have you considered signing up for a paypal account?

Namecheap and registerfly accept paypal which you can tie to your checking account...

Or you could send the cheque to a friend of yours, who would then register the domain on behalf of you.
