Basically, I'd just like to have a couple of remote shell accounts to set up simple ping monitoring scripts, so cron access (either direct, or by request) and perl will be needed. They offer free uptime monitoring with paging and decent statistics. They are located at: http://www.qwkmon.com Otherwise you could try a free shell account provider.
