Given the amount of errors I saw in a quick look over it I don't think I'd be bidding very high :)

It reminds me of an older script called PerlAuction from a few years ago. Cost a lot (a design client bought it to use), and was riddled with errors that I spent days working through.

The 'programmer' disappeared along with the perlauction website a long time ago after lot of people complained about it being rubbish and there being no support.

I might be wrong of course... but it looks very similar.
