Alright, I am searching for a reliable host that offers following features:

PHP
SSI
ASP
Access (or MySQL)
own cgi-scripts
pop-email accounts
100MB server space
FTP
Web statistics
Bandwidth 1GB or more

When I say reliable, I mean RELIABLE. I would appreciate it if you could give me some URLs of sample pages running on your server.

Thanks for your help!

Your offer sounds really good, Kiwi. I will probably give it a try. I just have to wait a while because my current host won't let me re-delegate the domain until end of August. *sigh*. Have to wait that long, I guess.

Andreas,

You could have your new host give you a dedicated IP and have your old host point their DNS records to the new IP that you have.

The only problem would be to get both hosts to cooperate with you. :D

Does you host have control over your domain name?

Yeah, at the moment I think they do. I first registered my domain-name with them when I made the contract for the server-space.

Now I read the contract again and it says there is a 30day cancellation period to the end of the month. Once they cancel it they will keep the domain name for 30 more days so the new host can re-delegate it.

I sent them an email and asked them about it (whether they will let me re-delegate the domain before the end of the 30days), but they haven't answered yet. I wonder why?:)
