First please forgive my ignorance.

We would like to have a newsleeter sent to all our visitors. Here is what we are looking to do.

Have on each of our web pages an option for peopleto sign on and off for our newsletter.

For us (my company) to be able to send a newsletter to all the people on our list.

We would like to be able to also have colored text, bold type text and if possible to add even graphics (thus html I believe).

We would like to databse of user's names to be on our server.

There are a couple of mail list programs such as "mailman" but
1. it is a mail list, so everyone can send a letter
2. it shows the e-mail address of the list where you send your letter (we would prefer if only the Admin saw this address so only WE can send a letter to the list of subscribers)
3. Then ther are web based programs but they only allow simple text such as this message I am typing here, with no bold or color or graphics allowed.

Could you send an e-mail to my address so I will know what we are looking for, we would prefer a free script or low cost one if there is such a thing out there, I hope I explained it well enough.

You can create newsletters from templates and then send HTML, AOL, and text versions

Thank you for your suggestion but that one is not really what I was looking for. First we already have about 5000 people we need to send our newsletter to and we believe before long it will be around 7000. Second as mentioned before I need a script or program that can run from our own web site on our servers not a third party or second party server where the info resides on the Newletter company's server.

Basically if anyone knows of a maillist script like Mailman or Majordomo That lets a user sign up for subscription without needing a assword ( just put in either your e-mail address) and opt in or out.
Allows the admin to configure the program so only he/she can sned letters or announcments
Either hides the list e-mail so know one else can post, or has a Webface Interface to use to construct the letter.
Allows you to use Bold, and different size fonts.
And resides on your own server.

This is not true. I use mailman with exactly this type of configuration. You just need to setup the list as a moderated list. You will get an e-mail (if you set it up that way) when anyone posts to the list. You can then either accept or reject the e-mail.

Where are you talking about that it displays the e-mail address of the list? If you mean the signup page, that can be easily removed in the templates.

Mailman just distributes what you send to it. If you send a HTML coded e-mail, then that's what goes out.

I'm not defending Mailman here. It just does have the features that you are looking for.

I like Mojo mail the best. I can't remember the url to it, bt if you do a search on hotscripts it will come up.
