I'll soon be launching a site that will be hosting several smaller sites. We're currently looking for a web based control panel that will best suit our needs.

The control panel will need to be able to control DNS, Apache, mail, MySQL, and FTP servers. The smaller sites may be hosted on either their own domain or a sub-domain. We would like to be able to give them control to manage their own sites, with the ability to create/edit/delete FTP accounts (and control what permissions the users will have) as well as manipulation of POP3 accounts, email forwarding, and mailing lists.

Web based file management/email access would be nice, but we can always plug in existing scripts if needed.

I'll be coding functionality to offer news, counters, forums, and the like via PHP.

If you need any more information in order to best give a recommendation, please don't hesitate to ask.

Thanks in advance,

clambert

Does WebMin support different different user levels? Took a quick look and it seems like a root admin tool.

Ensim looks decent, but what else is out there?

Sure does. Here is the description of the "Webmin Users" module:
Create Webmin users and configure which modules and features they are allowed to access.

In fact, here's the complete list of standard modules:

And there are lots of great 3rd party modules for it, too:

Hello

Best choice is what most of people have chosen.

I suggest CPanel.

Most of hosting services currently use this one.

Mac

/me puts Webmin on his list.

I've used CPanel before, but the only place I can see to purchase it for external use is Burst, and they're charging $99/month. Do other places provide it cheaper?

I like it myself, although come to think about it...I haven't seen anyone talk about Webmin on here much. Plus, free feels pretty good.
