Am I going to get rewarded for spending my time doing this? Or is it just an advertisment?

inogenius
06-16-2003, 03:05 PM
It's actually kind of interesting. I'm stuck again though.

bitserve

It's probably just an ad. Robert Langdon is a character in the book. I believe that the Robert Langdon site is a fictitious web site, much like:

http://www.precrime.org/home.html

i say we work as a team... and you type on this forum all the answers you go so far..

hehe.. help the mentally retarded.. haha like me :)

rrdega
06-16-2003, 03:16 PM
Well, I've had the email response... But I'm not sure where to go from there. Yahoo Groups?

...:( I have some work to do now though. I'll get back to this later. But, does getting the email response from the professor count as Gate 4?

inogenius
06-16-2003, 03:17 PM
Oh poop. I'm stuck at work. Someone can take over where I left off;

100 Place Beauvau
75008 Paris

Dear Mademoiselle Marie Denarnaud,
I regret to inform you that we have impounded the contents of your box. The parchment you purchased on-line was stolen. It belongs to a U.S. symbologist, Robert Langdon. We have been unable to reach Mr. Langdon directly, but we have returned his parchment to him in care of his editor Jonas Faukman at the Doubleknight Publishing Group in New York. Mr. Faukman anticipates your concern and is eager to speak to you at your earliest convenience. He can be reached in his office at (212) 782-9920. He urged you to phone him regardless of the hour.

I'm guessing you'll have to call that number to find the next clue.

i used to study this book for hours on end when i was about 6 thru to 9 years old. the treasure had been found but i wanted to get the clues... i actually got one or two but of course they were intended for much more developed brains than mine so the rest were beyond my grasp.

It's nothing big, just aa little congratulation something from the author. I dont mind telling you because it's not cool unless you did it yourself. BTW, if you are REALLY crazy about this and really need help, ask me.

Ok, taking a step back, how do you solve the pigpen cipher? (The scroll from relic-bay). I jumped ahead by just going to the bank and guessing the login name...

Thank you for your inquiry. I’m currently editing out
of the office but I’ll get back to you as soon as I
return. Robert, if this is you please leave me a
message on our employee message board (use
my name to login). I’ve reset the password to
something we both know – the name of the city
where we had our photo taken together recently.
---------------

Now the picture question from above . . . ? ? ?

EDIT: Oh neat. www.RobertLangdon.com look at the picture (that's the only hint I will give).
