Hey everyone, I need YOUR HELP! I am looking for a good all around server to host websites. Price is a big factor. I need a fast and reliable one. Besides crystalpc.com , where are some good online places to buy them from? Any discount places? Im looking for one that has MySql, php, apache, andlinux pre-installed and configured. Any help would be GREATLY APPRECIATED! Remember, these are the major factors:

Having mysql, apache, php, and linux all re-installed and _configured_ is the part that might cost you some money. If you really want cheap, build it yourself. If you can afford $1000 or so, take a look at dell's servers. Their low-ends are decent and they are always running specials (double memory, double HD size, $300 off, etc). I would recommend you install and configure the software yourself and save some dough.
If you don't know how to install and configure these things, you may want to learn:
1) if you are starting a business with this and customers need the software reconfigured to add more things, you aren't going to be able to do it because you don't know how (or you'll have to pay someone else to do it)
2) if you are doing this as a side project for yourself and not for paying customers, I'm sure you're going to end up one day needing to add some things to your configurations and if you don't know someone who can do it for you for free, you're gonna be shelling out some more dough.
I know learning the stuff isn't easy. It takes everyone time to get comfortable with it all. But in the long run, it'll be worth it. You'll be dependent on yourself and not some other person/entity.
In short, what I would do, buy a dell server w/ no OS and install everything yourself. That's just me. :)

I would suggest looking at ebay. Mixed used a new, you can get fast ones at a responable price. Downsides, if it is used you might have trouble with warrenty issues. Bottom line is you can get some good prices.
