I hope this is ok to post here, because lots of hosting companies are also isp's (or, in many cases, the other way around).
I am thinking about finding a company to allow me to be a virtual isp (VISP). Does anyone else here do this, and if so, how is it working out for you? I'm trying to find one without setup fees (or at least very low), and no monthly minimum. I know from experience that most companies that allow this are also, at least in part, VISP's themselves (adding national dial-up access to their local modems), and go through one of the big providers like MegaPop. I used to work for an ISP and sold and setup these services, but they charge a $500 setup fee to get going.
Any ideas?

Yes there is. www.cari.net. We have used them for two years to add value to our hosting. They charge $50/mo to be a wholesale member, and they have 24/7 support. They have two networks for you to use. A national with MegaPOP at $10.00/mo/account and a CA network for $5/mo/account. Their management interface is the best around for managing dial up and making it easy.

One piece of advice. Do not sell dial up unless you offer phone support.
