is the site making any money? how does it make money ? how much maintenance does it take ?

Sigup was a very popular website and would, theoretically, be a very profitable business.

I should note however, that the reason that we are selling it is because we are unable to support it and the amount of bandwidth it was requiring. While the amount of hits increased and potential advertising sales increased, we were too limited in our design to handle the larger flow of customers.

It is a highly popular site and has been relied on by many. This offer would probably be most intersting to someone currently with an image-hosting related site that wants all the hits going to their network.

I was looking for solid stats of visitors, revenue, prices, etc.

hehe, I know the limit says 20gb, but its jsut the default. We always go over within days :)
So far June: 135Gb BW :)

I don't know how correct that image is. Our server gets 400gb of bandwidth per month. Last month we went over, so we decided to shut down the free service, it's probally so low because only paid members are using the service now.

They vary based on price. We indeed did exceed our 400 GB limit, towards the end of that particular month we were doing about 30 GB/day. So, like I said, it is probably for previously existing sites with a strong network.
