I looked through amazon.com and the selections was pretty crappy or over 1000 bucks . Please advise  It's hard to find a book simply about webhosting. The subject is too broad of a category. Just like you would be hard pressed to find a single book that describes how to run an automobile company. the first thing you need to do is determine what aspects of a hosting company you want to know more about. Some examples might be: 1. OS 2. Web Servers 3. HTML Basics 4. Scripting in Perl/PHP/VBScript/Java 5. Mail Servers 6. Security 7. Marketing 8. Forming a business 9. Employee Management 10. Scrounging food from your family for six months 11. Taxes and other Business chores. 12. How to survive on 15 minutes of sleep every 3 hours. Frankly, we have easily over $1000 worth of the above type of books in our library and every one of them has been essential to running our business. akashik 07-15-2001, 01:58 PM Originally posted by uuallan 10. If you mean webhosting, that would simpily be the web serving software you use. If you use apache, then get a book on apache, there are plenty out there. :) Dogma 07-15-2001, 10:45 PM could some of you maybe post the titles of good/great hosting, business management, and/or sleeping managment books you have in your extensive $1000+ libraries? This could help the rest of us not buy so many books, but get the best ones!! EDIT :// Realized that some may have read that as insulting (maybe it is just me) so please, do not take the above as insulting, thanks! -Dogma Haakon 07-16-2001, 12:16 AM Look for books published by New Riders is my little tip. And O`Reilly for updated references. allan 07-16-2001, 12:22 AM Dogma.
