Spirit, this wouldn't be difficult to do w/ asp, asp.net.

The problem is I am currently swamped. How long could you wait for this?

Do you think it would have good potential for resale?

It could be, there are a lot of windows hosts but no here. You'll have to find a way to target them offline imho

I have the free one atm. Not really that impressed with the email headers things. Had lots of problems with clients sending HTML email with attachments.

Hi SpiritAu :)

We've been using Kayako E-Support ( http://www.kayako.com )and have found it excellent! We've had no problem with support the couple of times we've needed it and they also have their support forums which is full of nifty info...

Hope that's of some help to your search and good luck in finding something that works for you :agree:

I just read on the forums that edgepanel 2.0 is free.

It looks nice

EdgePanel 2 looks really nice. We're probably going to switch from the integrated ModernBill helpdesk to this! Good find. :) Anyone know how to go about integrating this somehow with ModernBill?

EdgePanel is by far one of the best helpdesk/ticket system out of the paid and free ones.
Easy to skin and customize.
Thumbs Up to those guys!!

It should install no problem all you need to have it run is PHP/MySQL. And a couple of other things to use all the options in EdgePanel are recomended but not necassary.

I keep running into a problem. On the EdgePanel forum a few other users are having the same problem. I can run the installation but cannot login.

Yeah, had same problem. Had to put in the url the directory the helpdesk was in. Then when you actually get in go to the settings and where it specifies what the url is add the directory in there.
Durring the install it didnt ask what site (in directory) it just asked where the site was.
Eg: http://www.domain.com http://www.domain.com/helpdesk/
Put trailing slash..
Let me know how it goes.

I had no problem installing on CPanel, so it must be a Plesk thing. Still it is pretty slick.

Mine is on cpanel as well. It is just a directory error durring the install. Have to put http://domain.com/dirctory-helpdesk-is-in/ and not http://domain.com/
