I am considering purchasing a control panel for my hosting business and have run into a few issues that are swaying my decision. I wanted to see what you all had to say on this.

I am running a win2k platform.

Hosting Controller - Tons of features - No Skins - Hard to Install and Configure (Many problems).

HELM - Very Expensive - Moderate amount of features - a few color schemes - no INstall problems (so far).

Hosting Accelerator - Many Color Schemes - No Install Problems - Moderate features - NO BILLING SOLUTION.

Those are the three I have looked at so far. I need something where account setup is fully automated and leaves the end user or reseller with a CP that they can perform most functions. Billing is very important. I would like the customer to be able to log into the CP and pay their invoice or choose to have it billed monthly.

Any Suggestions?

Hosting Accelerator is my recommendation, but if you need fully automated solution then look at Hosting Controller

I would say look at Hosting Controller or Hosting Accelerator.

I don't see how you had issues installing HC, It was just a setup.exe file you have to run on the server to install it.

They are working on skins for HC now as I noticed a post on the HC Forum.

Well, it wasn't actually running the setup, it just didn't want to work after it installed. The guys at HC said it was a registry key issue. We'll see how it pans out.

and yes, I've actually gotten screen shots of the new skins. Looks much better.

Presently using Command Matrix. I want to buy my own license.

Command Matrix - $349, Support MySQL, ASP.NET, Skin

HC - $500, Seems a market tested product, not sure it support ASP.NET, No MySQL

HELM - $300, Lot of good Reviews

Don't know which one to go.

May be i will get one CM as i am using it now.

Does CM have integrated Billing?

HC currently supports .NET and MySQL using myODBC, On the hosting controller forum they said full mySQL integration and new skins should be ready in the next release, from what I read the next release should be out in a few weeks.

CM, No integrated billing.

Actually i don't like the integrated billing and helpdesk as i already have my own help desk and billing.
