Hi,

I have a question. I have been using webhosting.com for a while but decided to end my account last week. I sent a fax to them on thuesday telling them to I would like to en my webhosting.com account at the end of this period (2001 August 15).

When I tried to visit my site (www.liscreensavers.com) the only thing left of the site was a index.html page with the text: "nothing here for you to see!".

WHAT IS THIS????

Visit my site and see for yourself.

Have my account been canceled one month ahead or have my site been hacked???

Is there anyone who recognize this.

this does indeed look like the host has changed it, have you tried accessing a url within the site that used to work? and does your ftp account still work to upload the files?

if not then it would seem its an action that the host has misunderstood your request.

if it had been hacked then i would presume the "hacker" would have put a nick name/handle/group of some sort to take ownership of the "hack"

I canīt reach any site within the URL and I canīt reach the ftp account.

What I find strange is that I have not been contacted by webhosting.com telling me that my account have been canceled.

I am surprised how serious webhosting company remove my site and replace it with a page that gives my visitors the message "nothing here for you to see!".

This can results in removed links and SE placements.

You probably want to leave them anyway. What's wrong with now?? Just do a search on this board and you will find them often. And I don't belive it's ever anything good:(

Uhm... doncha think that's being just a little too generous as a possible explanation...

Like most others have said though.. leave now. No point in staying with a company that will shut you down out of spite.
