I'm goin to be most upfront i can be it you....

There ok...
There are better than fdc and dedicatednow (for lastest's downtime on dnow has lost it's image )

But if you are realy goin to host something like ( resell ) i wold advise you to go it rackshack beacuse they are now it 700 Gb/s mo. for those US$ - $99 / $120 and you get a 100 MB/s port not a 10 mb/s port as in united

But if you need the extra bandwight our if united release some new stuff.. ( port speed options , any CP , our increase the bandwight ) i wold say go foward it....

The bigger problem it united is the 10 MB/s cap ( on my mind ) i wold pay $50 on any off there packages for anh 20-50 MB/s port...

The uptime has improve in the lastest mo. but i think they need to offer others port speeds....

PS : I do not fell confortable it 10 MB/s :)

in today's days if you get about 30 users online ... 5 our 8 are making download on 1/1.5 MB/s dsl our cable... you have your self a big big big BIG problem... :(

I have a United Colo box and... it's not too bad actually. The network is a little slow at times, and the box has rebooted itself once or twice with no apparent reason. They wouldn't be my first choice for a commercial venture, but they're not terrible.

DN's latest downtime incident wasn't their fault - some network troubles may have/may not have been their fault (not sure, didn't follow the situation), but I'd rate them much higher than UnitedColo, just from the comments I've seen.

How is that a problem? You're not getting 30 users all downloading at the same time - anyway, one of my sites get ~25-28,000 pageviews per day, and never has major spikes - the average transfer at peak times is less than 200Kbps. The 10Mbps cap is really a safety precaution, in case you get DOS'd (or hacked, and someone decides to use your server in a DOS attempt).

First, I'm not here to protect our atack any provider.

Secound, DN had major problem it's it's fiber/backbone bein overselled.... and they don't have that much backbone...

PS : From what i know united has more backbone than DN.... if DN has 2 GB/s it's in the same boat as united...but united users has that 10 MB/s cap...

Please read my post carefuly, i think you mist understand this part.

PS : If that what i fell about 10 MB/s that's how i fell.... 10 MB/s for a server in theses days when ervy one has a cable our dsl is realy not a good ideia.... :)

Really?!
I find it strange because FDC are always kind, patient and helpful (my experience) while I've heard UCG are rude and tell "go elsewhere if you don't like us"...

My experience with FDC weren't too good. Always packet loss and random timeouts. When FDC worked, they worked well with low pings, but my UCG server has been pretty damn stable, it's been up for over 140 days.
