So here's what I want to do: I would like to open up 2 sites (each with their own, separate domains) one running as a forums only site and one as a blog site. Does anyone know of a reliable, affordable host that would host both of these in one package? Thanks for the help.

Just look for a reseller package Paradox.
You are not obligated to resell and many reseller packages are more economical than buying 2 seperate hosting packages.

for a new host, request for host in the requesting hosting forum and do a search on them here

You could also just get one account (no reseller) and have an addon domain. Could also be cheaper then a reseller account. Many hosts offer this option.
