Hey folx,
I'm fairly new on these boards. A few days ago, I was asking for a comparison of the merits of PostgreSQL vs. MySQL.

Well, I've decided to bite the bullet, get a host, and learn PostgreSQL. Since I had kind of a hard time finding info about PostgreSQL and a decent host who runs it, I want to put myself out there as an information resource for others.

My site:
- Will show up at www.the-athenaeum.org in a few days.
- Can currently be seen (running HTML only) at http://members.tripod.com/preraphs.
- Will be hosted at www.can-host.com
- Will use PostgreSQL 7.1.
- Will be mostly PHP 4.0 scripting.

If any of that sounds relevant to you, put me on your list. Of course, I just got started (this is my first paid host and domain), but after a while, I hope to have a short review of my experience to post here.

Thanks for everyone's help. No doubt I'll be taking advantage of it again. :D

- Chris McCormick

PS - The new site will look a good bit different from the old site, and what with learning Postgres, will take a few weeks to get up in skeletal fashion. But the old site will give you a basic idea of my subject matter.
