Is there a way to bar unregister visitors to access certain pages of the site? In order for them to access the restricted sites they would have to register thru my Ultimate Bulletin Board (UBB).
Thanks for your help.

You could use HTAccess, as in your title. You'd have to modify UBB, however, so that when a user registers, their username and password is also added to a separate HTAccess password file (normally .htpasswd).
Perhaps you could find a separate HTAccess management script and do some copy-paste coding. :)

Is there other way to go around it besides using .HTACCESS?
Check the manual for UBB. I have not used UBB in quite some time, but most bb's can have private forums that only registered users can view. With Vbulletin, the forum does not even show up until your are logged in.

Yes the UBB allows private forums and even hidden forums. But since I am going to intergrate UBB to the entire site some part of the site are running different CGI programs (e.g. online practice exam or just plain HTML study notes).
How can I protect this areas so that they can only be view after they login?
