Hey all,
I was just wondering what the general opinion of the Job Requests/Postings forums was. I remember I used to check it out a couple times a week because it was a serious shot at getting some decent freelance coding projects. However, now I come daily...to laugh at it.
People are trying to get fully functioning CMSs for sub $500 prices? Customized professional webdesign for $15? Let's be serious. These are professional services, and I am curious how anyone, even if they are an amateur who can barely code, can do the projects at the prices that are the requirements.
I also approach you all to ask you a quest. Where do you hunt for your freelance work? I am a Perl programmer who also codes in PHP and has a good background with HTML and XML. If you would like to avoid posting where you do it, I would also appreciate a PM. But the WebHostingTalk forums, like so many of the freelance bidding sites have become a joke for actually finding decent work.
I'd appreciate responses to anything I said, including contradictary statements. Thank you for your timem!
