OK i found a few sites that i thought that would help me

on 1 i saw that having HUB's is the best way and having a switch in the middle...
http://www.lanparty.com/images/subpages/smallnet2.gif

i thought that maybe having a router where the D-Servers are to run the IP's because i dont know how to setup that.. win2kpro right now

are there any people that would help me with a linux based server..... i have a Red hat 8.0 and 7.0 i really dont know who to use them... noobie i know working that tho...

and others where GOTO all the comps and give them there own IP WAY TO LONG

1 thing else Viruses on a LAN should i really care about that.. on the servers that i own i have protection and on my own...\

i have the Mcafee Pro on them all, Should i scan the people SHARED folders????

THX Again

I can't speak for anyone else, but you didn't seem to be too clear in what you're asking, at least to me.
"Should i same the people SHARED folders" makes little sense to me...for instance.

If you want to setup a LAN, best method is without Hubs and using switches instead, as they provide full Duplex(less chance of collusion, supposed to be no chance). Also
