Looking for feedback on this dedicated server offering:

633MHz Celeron, 128KB cache
128MB RAM
25GB EIDE IBM HD
Red Hat 6.1
Apache Webserver
FTP/DNS/Mail
20GB Burstable Traffic

I would be using it for fairly light web serving. Probably some basic PHP/MySQL. Not to many hits.

Curious what everyone's opinion is on Celeron processors for hosting.

I currently have a RAQ3 with 192M RAM and am thinking of adding a little heavier duty to the fold.

Thanks!

If you have only a few light sites I should serve fine.
But of course, if you can afford it I would throw in at least another 128 MB RAM.

I agree RAM is so cheap right now you can load up on ram for about 100-150

Go for it, will only help

The only bummer is they want ~$145.00 ontime setup OR $29.00/month for an additional 128M. Seems really steep especially since prices are so low right now...

Does that happen to be Dialtone Internet's $150/month server?

A monthly charge is fine but steep setup fees, well i guess thats how this industry seems to be, at least with some companies...

If you know how to admin a server go with it, but if you need tech help I've heard some bad things about Dialtoneinternet techsupport on these forums, do a quick search.
