I play Counter-Strike and Battlefield 1942. After a couple minutes in the game (sometimes 5 sometimes 120), the display just stops. Just freezes. I can be in the midddle of shooting, bullets in teh air, shells in the air, and it just freezes everything. I cant press anything, and no sound comes out. It just FREEZES.

What can this be?

P.S. I think *maybe* when I installed my new video card I may have disconnected one of those power cables from somthing but I SERIOUSLY DOUBT IT, as I checked, all the parts, nothing was missing. Could this be the problem? I'll recheck if so

P.P.S/: I can do EVERYTHING ELSE fine. Photoshop, Dreamweaver, IE, OE, etc.

P.P.P.S: Specs:
Athlon 1Ghz
380MB ram
GF4MX440 PCI vid card
60GB HDD
WIN ME (going to change to XP tomorrow, full reformat)

Try taking the card out.. And putting it back in.. Make sure all plugs for everything are properly seated...

Also.. Is the fan on the gfx card running?

Overclocked? Tweaked? The VCard? Try reinstalling the vcard drivers with the latest.

Did you check the box or the game website for any video hardware conflicts?
You could also check to make sure your version of directx is compatible.
