I had planned to sign up with Modernauthorize.net and had almost finished the process, but they will not let me charge billing periods over 1/2 year for some reason, so I can't use them because I wouldn't be able to even charge for domain registration. :crap: So what I'm looking for is a merchant account that allows yearly billing, preferably with no setup fee. Any recommendations?

e-onlinedata thru ModernAuthorize does allow yearly billing for Domain Registration, just not for Hosting. This limits the charge-back risk and therefore protects the hosting company. They do allow semi-annual, quarterly and of course monthly billing for hosting.

Most places will not allow over semi-annual.

The information you have is incorrect. We use ModernAuthorize/e-Onlinedata and they have never made us aware of this and have never complained when we did do it. You just need to make sure you register a correct "Highest Amount" charge with them to include any yearly signups that you might get.

Apparently it's not incorrect. I have signed up with them, but cannot do yearly charges other than domain registration.

It may vary based on your credit, business history, etc.
